Workshops, Talks and Trainings
Even before I started working with applied Mycology I had a passion for sharing knowledge about fungi. In my 15 year career this joy only grew bigger and I have delivered close to one hundred workshops and talks across Europe and beyond. From general lectures about fungi for beginners, multi day training on laboratory work to large scale scientific conferences.
My workshops and talks are designed to bring the fungal kingdom closer to people's heart and blend science with practical, hands-on experience. Whether I am at a fungi festival or working with professionals on complex lab protocols, my goal is always the same: spark curiosity and leave my audience with usable real world skills.

Who I Work With & How We Can Collaborate
Every audience needs a different approach. Over the years, I’ve tailored my talks and training for a wide variety of groups, creating a unique experience for each one. Whether we are sitting in a clean room, tracking through the forest or working on new approaches together, or are in a classroom, my favourite part is always the same: passing on my fascination and passion for everything fungi related.
Garden Societies & Community Groups
Hands on: Often thought to only thrive in dark and shady corners of a garden, my workshops bring the amazing potential of fungi from the back of the house to the forefront.
Whether we are building raised beds using mushroom logs, creating woodchip paths that provide a bountiful mushroom harvest, creating habitats for other species with deadwood, or simply growing mushrooms from hay bales or logs, these sessions will equip you with the hands-on experience you need to start implementing mushrooms in your garden and the knowledge what benefits you, your garden and other species living in there from fungi! Talks & Presentations: Fungi play a crucial role in ecosystems, doing most of their work hidden away. Whether you wonder how they contribute to resilience and biodiversity, or how to actively support or implement fungi into an existing or new garden, my lectures and presentations shine a light on the incredible contribution fungi provide to gardens and other ecosystems. These lectures and presentations can also be held remotely, so don't hesitate to contact me from any corner of the world.
Hands on: Mushrooms are ideal for young people who need things happening! Growing so fast that visible changes happen overnight or while being in school, mushrooms are a great organism to observe and learn from. If we are creating a little tabletop farm from a toilet paper roll, taking our first steps in lab work, making paper from mushrooms, or growing bricks from mycelium to build things, there are plenty of options for kids to dive into the world of fungi. These workshops are specifically designed for kids of different ages to inspire and captivate, nurturing the natural curiosity that kids bring with them and make these events some of my favourite and most memorable.
Talks & Lectures: Fungi are easy to be fascinated by and even to relate to if presented in the right way. My talks for kids are designed to do exactly that. Exploring what they already know and creating connections to new knowledge about the fascinating sides of fungi. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to inspire kids (and adults alike) and in each lecture I aim to find what each participant individually finds interesting and nurture that spark of curiosity.
